Under the agreement, ALP will provide SBD $1.4 million to support KGA’s “Strengthening  Food Security and Rural Livelihood” program for the period from February to May 2010. This is an extension of the previous funding asssistance for the same program, provided through  the then AusAID Community Sector Program for the last nine months.

Speaking during the signing ceremony at the ALP office, ALP Team Leader Mr Peter Wood say’s, they are pleased to continue to support KGA to implement its current program. KGA had progressively implemented the program as expectated over the last nine months of the program, he commented.

In acknowledging ALP’s financial support, KGA’s Program Coordinator Mr Jack Kalisto says he’s pleased to see ALP maintain its current support. The support will enable KGA to complete year one of the five year program, and indicated that KGA will continue to work closely with ALP under the partnership agreement. We hope that this relationship will continue through the near future, added Mr Kalisto.
